Thank you for your interest in the East Norwich Fire Company #1 Junior Firefighter Program. Are you between the ages of 12 and 17 and looking for a chance to serve your community and learn about fire, rescue, and emergency services?

Juniors learn about agency organization and operations while developing teamwork and leadership skills that will benefit them in whatever career they follow later in life.

Your training will cover every aspect of fire service participation. You can expect to develop many practical and valuable skills, such as basic first aid; the donning of personal protective equipment and use of self-contained breathing apparatus; how to use and maintain the tools needed to fight fires and conduct rescues; and the techniques for executing search and rescue, forcible entry, ventilation, emergency evacuation, and automobile extractions.

Joining our Junior Firefighter program is also a great way to meet others your age who share your values and beliefs regarding community service. Many juniors develop friendships that last throughout their lives.

For more information about becoming a Junior Firefighter, Fill out our online form. A fire company representative will contact you shortly afterwards.
